The collection of Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP offers you extra functionality, saves your time and takes up very little space on your computer. For example, the HTML Slide Show Wizard, which helps to create a slide show of your pictures for the Internet, is only 416KB. One image time-saver is the Image Resizer, which adds the command 'Resize Image' to your context menu, meaning all you have to do is right-click on any image and select it from the menu for quick resize jobs instead of launching an editing program. Keeping images and photography in mind, the Color Control Applet allows you to manage Windows color settings, such as ICC profiles, from the Windows Control Panel and photographers shooting RAW images have not been forgotten. Installing the RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer PowerToy will enable users to view, organize, and print photos captured in RAW image formats, and work with them just as with JPEG images. For finished images the CD Slide Show Generator is useful: it enables you to view the work you have burned to a CD as a slide.
There are also excellent PowerToys that enhance you system, files and folders work. Tweak UI, for example, enables you to customize settings of your Explorer, My Computer, taskbar, even your mouse, and settings in a wide variety of other places, helping to speed up your system. SyncToy will help you to copy, move and rename files and assist you in the synchronization of different directories, and it can manage multiple sets of folders at the same time. For quick viewing of applications, the Alt-Tab Replacement tool is handy as it shows you a preview of the page of any application in addition to its icon. The Open Window Here tool adds exactly that option to context menus. Other PowerToys that can be installed to enhance Windows XP include Webcam Timershot, which enables you to take pictures from a web cam at intervals specifically chosen by you and save them to network or ftp share, or any other designated location, and ClearType Tuner, which makes type easier to read on your computer.
